The People Power Party held an executive meeting on the 31st and resolved this appointment.
Previously, the People’s Party had intended to recommend Kim Geun-tae, youth supreme council member, and Yoon Young-hee, deputy spokesperson, as committee members, but reportedly replaced the recommended members considering political weight and other factors.
Additionally, when forming the nomination committees for each provincial party, the distribution of committee members will include representatives from both the People Power Party and the People’s Party. After concluding the executive meeting that day, Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, told reporters, “If you look at the list of the Seoul City Party nomination committee members we approved today, two People’s Party figures are already included, and for other regions, we have requested the People’s Party to recommend up to two members.”

He added, “The fact that the People’s Party agreed to recommend two nomination committee members was requested during conversations with Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People’s Party. According to our nomination committee formation rules, there is a clause requiring three women and two youth members. To reflect this, the People’s Party is recommending one woman and one youth member accordingly.”
