SK Hynix Appoints President Kwak No-jeong as New Co-CEO
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] On the afternoon of the 30th, SK Hynix held a board meeting and announced the appointment of President Kwak No-jeong as a new co-CEO. With this, SK Hynix has shifted from the previous co-CEO structure of Vice Chairman Park Jung-ho and President Lee Seok-hee to a co-CEO structure of Vice Chairman Park Jung-ho and President Kwak No-jeong.
Regarding the background of the appointment, SK Hynix explained, "Since joining as an engineer in 1994, he has built solid experience in various semiconductor manufacturing and technology-related businesses," and added, "He was judged to be the right person to comprehensively lead all technical fields including company-wide development, manufacturing, and the increasingly important safety operations."

President Lee Seok-hee, who was previously a co-CEO, will serve as chairman of Solidigm, a subsidiary launched after SK Hynix's acquisition of Intel's NAND business, and will focus on management activities in the United States. President Lee will lead the 'Inside America' strategy, including Solidigm's PMI (post-merger integration) work, global expansion of the NAND business, and establishment of a North American research and development (R&D) center.
