2023 College Admission Strategy, Let's Plan Together with Gyeongnam Office of Education!
Training for 159 Senior Teachers on April 1
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Se-ryeong] The Gyeongnam Office of Education will hold a training session on April 1 at the Future Hall of Gyeongnam National University for 159 head teachers of 3rd-year high school students.
The training session was organized to analyze the admissions process and establish application strategies in preparation for next year's college entrance early and regular admissions, aiming to provide information to students.
Kim Jong-seung, a scholarship officer at the Gyeongnam College Entrance Information Center, will serve as the instructor, presenting strategic directions such as the highest and lowest possible student record grades for university and department applications based on the 2022 data of successful and unsuccessful early admissions applications by students in the Gyeongnam region.
Lim Jin-taek, an admissions officer at Kyung Hee University, will explain the characteristics of the 2023 university student record comprehensive screening, document evaluation, school-specific preparation methods for the comprehensive screening, and considerations when students apply.
After the training, time will be provided for communication among head teachers by region to share college entrance application strategies tailored to regional characteristics.
To assist with personalized early admissions applications, training materials containing the characteristics of each university admission type and admission information for the 2023 academic year will also be distributed.
The Gyeongnam College Entrance Information Center stated, “At the beginning of the semester in March, we distributed guides for collaboration on college entrance for teachers in charge of 3rd-year students, analysis of individual student application cases for 2022, interview reviews for student record-based admissions in 2022, and data on early and regular admissions, successful and unsuccessful cases of students in the Gyeongnam region in 2022.” They added, “We have also uploaded videos on 10 topics related to admission information on the center’s website e-Learning Center.”
