Yeongsangang Regional Environmental Office Holds Chemical Safety Meeting for Gwangyang Bay Area
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Yeongsan River Basin Environmental Office announced on the 30th that it held a chemical safety meeting for hazardous chemical handling workplaces in the Gwangyang Bay area (approximately 160 workplaces).
This meeting was conducted by sharing and delivering contents such as 'last year's administrative action cases, this year's guidance and inspection directions, accident cases in the Yeosu National Industrial Complex, and excellent cases of hazardous chemical handling facilities (invited by the Jeonbuk Environmental Headquarters of the Korea Environment Corporation)'.
So far, the Yeongsan River Basin Environmental Office has held meetings annually for workplaces.
In particular, due to restrictions on safety prevention activities at hazardous chemical handling workplaces caused by the spread of infectious diseases such as COVID-19, it emphasized doing its best to prevent chemical accidents caused by negligence in managing handling facilities at each workplace.
