[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup-si, Jeonbuk is supporting the interest on housing jeonse loan funds to ensure housing stability for newlywed couples in the region.
According to the city on the 30th, the newlywed couple housing jeonse loan interest support project is a system that supports newlywed couples with up to 1% of the jeonse loan balance, up to a maximum of 1 million KRW once a year.
It is promoted to encourage marriage and increase the birth rate by alleviating the housing cost burden of newlywed couples without homes and creating stable residential conditions.
The support target is newlywed couples without homes within 5 years from the date of marriage registration (April 1, 2017 ~ March 31, 2022).
As of the application date, both spouses must have been registered residents in Jeongeup-si for more than 6 months, and the combined annual income of the couple must be 80 million KRW or less.
However, basic livelihood security recipients and public rental housing residents are excluded from the support target.
The support amount is 1% of the housing jeonse loan balance, up to a maximum of 1 million KRW, paid once a year, and supported for up to 5 years if the support conditions are maintained.
Applications for the project can be submitted from the 1st to the 25th of next month at the town or township offices and community service centers of the resident registration address, bringing required documents such as proof of housing jeonse loan, lease contract, ID card, and a copy of the bankbook.
A city official said, “The newlywed couple housing jeonse loan interest support is expected to help reduce the economic burden of newlywed couples who worry about marriage and childbirth due to the burden of preparing housing costs, thereby helping to establish stable housing conditions and solve the low birth rate problem.”
