Jasaeng Medical Foundation Launches 'Jasaeng Windream Gwanak Band' to Support Youth Musical Talent and Dreams
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Jaseng Medical Foundation announced on the 30th that it will establish and support the 'Jaseng Windream Wind Orchestra' in collaboration with Bucheon-dong Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi Province, to help local youth with musical talents engage in stable performance activities.
The Jaseng Windream Wind Orchestra is a cultural and artistic support project aimed at vulnerable children and adolescents whose cultural activity support was cut off due to COVID-19. The orchestra is expected to be composed of 35 youths selected through Bucheon-si local children's centers.
Jaseng Medical Foundation will provide a total of 65 million KRW over three years to support the selected members in receiving education and ensemble lessons for six instruments including clarinet, flute, trumpet, and saxophone. In addition, it plans to arrange ensemble opportunities in cooperation with 21 Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospitals and Jaseng Korean Medicine Clinics nationwide.
