Federation of Korean Industries International Business Institute Holds 'Metaverse and NFT Strategy Forum'
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) affiliated International Business Institute announced on the 30th that it will hold a strategic forum on metaverse platforms and NFTs (non-fungible tokens) on the 27th of next month.
According to a presentation by the global consulting firm PwC, the metaverse-related market size is expected to grow from $148.5 billion (approximately 181 trillion KRW) last year to $1.5429 trillion (approximately 1,880 trillion KRW) by 2030.
In response, the FKI International Business Institute plans to invite Korea's top NFT and metaverse experts and leading company representatives to share corporate response strategies for the new virtual economy era.
First, Professor Seungjoo Kim of Korea University will explain the market value of NFTs linked to the metaverse, and Executive Director Geonbok Lee of Microsoft Korea will share the utilization methods and success cases of digital twins, which replicate physical objects exactly in virtual spaces.
Next, Yongho Choi, CEO of Galaxy Corporation, will review the roadmap for realizing the metaverse and cases of media industry evolution, and together with former Washington University Professor Sora Sung, they will explore the new virtual economy implemented by NFTs and future corporate organizational operation methods.
