Gochang-gun Selected for Labor-Management Win-Win Regional Job Consulting Support Project

[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] On the 29th, Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced that it was finally selected for the ‘2022 Win-Win Labor-Management Regional Job Consulting Support Project’ recently overseen by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and hosted by the Korea Labor Foundation.

This support project provides consulting and funding to local governments that hope for labor, management, and local government cooperation to discover job models suitable for their regions.

The county devised a project plan to overcome regional crises by discovering sustainable and stable win-win job models utilizing its main agricultural life and food industries.

After receiving favorable reviews from the judging panel, it was finally selected, securing a consulting budget of 182 million KRW.

Starting next month, the county plans to proceed with the project in the order of diagnosing the current status of local industries → job model development consulting → public discussion → win-win agreement (labor, management, local government) → preparation of job model implementation plans, in cooperation with the consortium institution (Korea Conflict Transformation Center, represented by Park Jiho).

A county official said, “We have established a foundation for coexistence among key actors such as the Gochang-gun community and labor, management, and local government,” adding, “We will do our best to create quality jobs by discovering win-win job models suitable for local conditions.”
