View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Ham Young-joo, Chairman of Hana Financial Group, visited the wildfire-affected areas on the East Coast as his first action after taking office and delivered support goods worth 300 million KRW.
Hana Financial Group announced on the 29th that Chairman Ham, who was appointed as the new chairman through the regular shareholders' meeting and board of directors on the 25th, skipped a separate inauguration ceremony and visited the wildfire-affected areas on the East Coast.
On that day, Chairman Ham visited the East Coast areas, including Gangneung and Uljin, which suffered significant wildfire damage, to express gratitude and respect to the firefighters who worked hard to extinguish the fires. He personally handed coffee and snacks to the firefighters from a support snack vehicle and promised practical financial support. Hana Bank will offer preferential interest rates for new credit loans to firefighters nationwide and provide the specialized insurance product for firefighters, 'Firefighter Guardian Safety Insurance,' free of charge for one year.
He also visited the Uljin Fire Station and delivered 'Happiness Boxes' worth 300 million KRW containing various items such as safety shoes. The Happiness Boxes will additionally be delivered to 21 institutions, including fire stations and fire academies under the Gyeongsangbuk-do Fire Department.
In addition, he visited Hana Bank branches in Gangneung near the fire site, Hana Financial Investment complex branch, Hana Insurance branch, and Hana Bank Yeongju branch.
