Candidate Kim Dong-hwan stated, "According to the anti-corruption activity evaluation results for public institutions, the Jeonnam Office of Education currently remains at a low level," and added, "I will restore the trust in Jeonnam education, which has been damaged by the decline in integrity."
He continued, "The current superintendent places the highest priority on integrity and corruption prevention indices, but these continue to remain in the lower ranks," and pointed out, "There are ongoing internal issues such as corruption related to the supply of government procurement materials, which indicates limitations in the current system."
Furthermore, he added, "I will reorganize the 'Public Service Inspection Team' currently within the auditor's office into a separate 'independent organization' composed of external experts, allowing it to operate as a permanent inspection team."
