SSG.com Signs Business Agreement with Busan City... "Establishment of Smart Logistics Center"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] SSG.com announced on the 28th that it will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Busan City to build a 'Smart Logistics Center.'
SSG.com plans to invest 220 billion KRW in Busan City by 2025. It will use a 30,000㎡ site within the Busan area, aiming to complete construction by the first quarter of 2025. This site will be utilized as a regional distribution center (RDC), a key logistics hub in the southern region capable of delivering up to 200,000 items per day.
SSG.com’s existing online store, NEO, has focused its logistics for online grocery shopping on over 120 Emart stores nationwide, mainly in the metropolitan areas such as Gimpo and Yongin. Once the Smart Logistics Center is completed, groceries, fashion, and beauty products ordered by customers will be delivered across the entire Yeongnam region by the next day.
