[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province and the Korea Standards Association are promoting the 'Gyeonggi Province Quality Management Activity Support Project' to improve productivity and strengthen competitiveness for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Gyeonggi region.
According to the province on the 28th, this year the project is divided into two categories: 'Support for Acquiring Quality Certification' and 'Support for Quality Innovation.'
'Support for Acquiring Quality Certification' covers direct expenses such as audit fees, testing fees, and education costs necessary for obtaining new domestic and international quality-related certifications.
It supports 80% of the total cost per company, up to a maximum of 5 million KRW, with major certification support areas including KS, ISO, KC, HACCP, and INNO-Biz.
'Support for Quality Innovation' is a category that provides support up to 10 million KRW per company for activities related to work processes, production, equipment, safety management, and service quality.
Experts are dispatched to diagnose and derive innovation tasks, helping companies achieve quality innovation through on-site improvements, safety management activities, education, and workshops.
