7-Eleven Launches '100% Buckwheat Perilla Oil Makguksu'
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Convenience store 7-Eleven has launched ‘100% Buckwheat Perilla Oil Makguksu’.
According to 7-Eleven on the 28th, the newly introduced ‘100% Buckwheat Perilla Oil Makguksu (5,000 KRW)’ features a clean, savory, and addictive umami flavor that can be enjoyed conveniently.
This product reproduces the cooking method of Wonju, Gangwon-do, the hometown of perilla oil makguksu. Using 100% buckwheat noodles made by extrusion, the noodles remain chewy and luxurious in texture without becoming soggy over time, distinguishing them from regular buckwheat noodles. The harmony of a secret soy sauce that enhances umami and the savory flavor of perilla oil is a key characteristic. Additionally, roasted sesame seeds, seaweed flakes, and pickled radish are included to add richness and provide a diverse taste experience.
To celebrate the launch of the 100% Buckwheat Perilla Oil Makguksu, 7-Eleven will offer a 10% discount on pre-orders of the product through the ‘7-Eleven app’ starting from the 29th.
