According to the industry on the 26th, Emart is holding a 'Strawberry Museum' event until the 30th, showcasing 11 varieties of strawberries. Representative products include Saebyeok Strawberry, Damyang Strawberry, Vitaberry, and White Strawberry. Emart has prepared about 300 tons of stock, approximately 50% more than usual, for this event.
According to Emart, total strawberry sales from November last year to February this year increased by about 7% compared to the same period last year. In particular, premium strawberry sales rose by 26% year-on-year. Last year, premium strawberries accounted for about 23% of total strawberry sales, but this year the proportion increased to about 29%.
Lotte Mart has prepared a sweet and salty unique tomato event. They are selling Sweetel Tomato, a new variety of mini tomato without stems; Sweetmato, a jujube-shaped sweet tomato injected with stevia containing the sweet-tasting stevioside component; Matjaengi Mini Tomato, naturally sweetened using dry farming methods; and Sweetango Tomato, which has a strong acidity followed by a sweet taste.
