In the preface of the book Advanced Country on Credit, published on the 25th, Cho wrote, "Considering the various pledges Yoon made during his candidacy, the strengthening of 'social rights' emphasized in this book is unrealistic."
Cho also expressed concern, saying, "Even the 'freedom rights' that settled after political democratization are at risk. If we think only this way, there is nothing but bleak despair," and added, "I am deeply worried that South Korea, which was moving forward in high gear, might recklessly shift into reverse."
Furthermore, he listed criminal cases involving President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol and his associates, criticizing, "The sword and axe that the Yoon prosecution used in investigations against me and my family were never used in investigations against Yoon himself, his close aides, or family. It was only after Yoon resigned from the position of Prosecutor General that full-scale investigations began and punishments were carried out in numerous cases."

Cho likened himself to a "'raft' that was used to cross the 'river' of 'justice and prosecution reform' but was broken," stating, "Repairing the raft is a matter for me, my family, and a very small number of comrades, friends, and allies," and added, "Thanks to the citizens who continue to send comfort and encouragement in both visible and invisible ways, I am enduring."
