After the Ministry of Employment and Labor's briefing, the Transition Committee stated, "We evaluated major employment and labor policies over the past five years, reviewed the recent employment situation of vulnerable groups such as industries affected by COVID-19 and temporary daily workers, and checked labor-management issues raised by labor and business sectors."
The Social Welfare and Culture Subcommittee discussed concerns from the field regarding the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, plans to expand technical and financial support to eliminate blind spots in industrial accident prevention, and measures to establish an industrial accident prevention system applying new technologies such as the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The Transition Committee also received reports on plans to restructure government job projects focused on direct employment, measures to strengthen workers' choice through expanding the settlement period of the selective working hours system, and plans to establish a lifelong vocational competency development system.
President-elect Yoon has also expressed a policy to apply the current 52-hour workweek system more flexibly as part of his campaign promises. Additionally, reports were given on securing fair hiring opportunities such as enacting the Fair Recruitment Act and establishing a generation-compatible wage system.
