The routes include one bus on Route 2 (Oedong Garage~Eobang-dong) and two buses on Route 5-1 (Pungyu-dong Garage~Gambun Village). A test ride ceremony was held on the 24th at the city bus public garage.
The test ride ceremony was attended by Mayor Heo Seong-gon, Gimhae City Council Chairman Song Yuin, city council members, representatives of two city bus companies, hydrogen bus drivers, and about 50 others.
The city is implementing the Gimhae-style Green New Deal project, replacing internal combustion engine buses with eco-friendly buses to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve carbon neutrality in public transportation.
In July last year, the first hydrogen charging station in Gimhae was opened in Andong, and in 2023, a special hydrogen charging station, Gimhae No. 2 Central Region Hydrogen Charging Station, will be established at the Pungyu-dong city bus public garage.
So far, 30 electric buses have been supplied, and with the addition of three hydrogen buses this time, the city plans to expand the supply of eco-friendly buses.
