Lotte Department Store Gwangju Conducts 'Gwangjucheon Purification' Volunteer Activity

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] The Charlotte Volunteer Group at Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch (Manager Jeon Il-ho) recently conducted a spring cleaning activity along Gwangju Stream in commemoration of World Water Day.

As part of the citizen participation project to care for Gwangju Stream promoted by Gwangju Metropolitan City, the Gwangju branch has continuously participated in campaigns such as river cleanup activities and removal of harmful plants to improve the landscape of Gwangju Stream and establish a community-friendly ecosystem.

Through these efforts, Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch was selected as a multi-organization participant in the 'Citizen Participation Gwangju Stream Care' project by Gwangju City last year and received a commendation from the Mayor of Gwangju.

The Charlotte Volunteer Group moved along the Gwangju Stream area from Yangnimgyo Bridge to Seoseokgyo Bridge, cleaning up trash and waste, contributing to the environmental cleanup of the surrounding area.

Jeon Il-ho, Manager of Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch, said, “With more customers using Gwangju Stream for outings in spring, we conducted cleanup activities to protect this precious stream. We will continue to contribute to the local community through ongoing environmental cleanup campaigns.”
