Ministry of National Defense Provides Supplies to Ukraine
[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter] The Ministry of National Defense transported supplies supporting Ukraine via commercial and chartered flights.
On the 24th, Moon Hong-sik, deputy spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense, stated at a regular briefing regarding the support of military supplies to Ukraine, "Considering the local situation, the transportation was carried out through civilian aviation and chartered flights," and added, "We ask for your understanding that specific details cannot be disclosed for safety reasons."
The supported items include about 20 types of non-weapon system military supplies such as bulletproof helmets, tents, blankets, artillery shells, combat rations, as well as medical supplies including personal first aid kits and medicines. The government had previously decided to provide approximately 1 billion KRW worth of mainly non-weapon system military supplies to Ukraine.

Initially, Ukraine reportedly requested the Korean government to provide weapon systems such as rifles and anti-tank missiles in addition to non-combat supplies, but the government has already stated that it is difficult to support lethal weapons.
