Samsung Electronics carried out related online training for three days starting from the 22nd, targeting partner companies facing difficulties in managing hazardous substances due to strengthened global regulations, in order to spread the importance of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management to partners and support related activities. ▲Trends in strengthening global product chemical substance regulations ▲The importance of environmentally conscious product chemical substance management ▲Methods of managing product chemical substances and major guidelines ▲Key issues by product were explained.
Through this training, partner companies received practical assistance in producing eco-friendly products free of hazardous substances. Last year, Samsung Electronics also conducted similar training for 456 domestic partner companies, organized by the Global CS Center and the Win-Win Cooperation Center, and due to high satisfaction among attendees, this year the scope will be expanded to include overseas partners.

Samsung Electronics is realizing the management philosophy that "the development of partners leads directly to the enhancement of Samsung Electronics' competitiveness." Starting domestically this month, the training will be expanded to about 2,200 overseas partner companies in August. Kim Hyung-nam, Vice President and Head of Samsung Electronics' Global CS Center, urged, "We ask partners to independently carry out activities to reduce hazardous chemical substances in products," and added, "Samsung Electronics will spare no support for partners' ESG management journey."
