20s Woman Intoxicated Assaults Children and Daycare Teachers Under Police Investigation
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] A woman in her 20s has been arrested by the police on suspicion of assaulting children and daycare teachers while intoxicated.
According to the police on the 23rd, the Dongdaemun Police Station in Seoul announced that they have booked and are investigating a woman in her 20s, identified as A, on charges of injury.
It was investigated that on the afternoon of the 4th, around 2 p.m., near a playground close to a daycare center located in Dongdaemun-gu, Ms. A verbally abused five children, picking a fight with them for being noisy. Among these, she kicked one child in the buttocks and scratched another child's face with her fingernails after removing their mask.
Additionally, Ms. A is accused of assaulting two daycare teachers who were supervising the five children. It was reported that one of the teachers suffered a broken nasal bone.
Ms. A admitted to the assault but stated that she was intoxicated at the time and does not remember some parts of the incident. It was also found that Ms. A is a first-time offender with no prior similar criminal record.
