Road Traffic Authority Provides Free Driver's Licenses to Uljin Wildfire Victims
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Jo] The Korea Road Traffic Authority announced on the 23rd that it will waive the reissuance fees for lost or damaged driver's licenses for residents of Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk, which was declared a special disaster area due to wildfire damage, until the 29th of next month.
The exemption applies to those whose address is in Uljin-gun. They can visit the Uljin Police Station civil service office or the mobile civil service office with their personal identification to receive a free reissuance of their driver's license.

The funds for the fee waiver are provided through the Authority's social service fund. An official from the Authority stated, "In addition to supporting driver's license reissuance fees, the Authority plans to continuously carry out related activities to fulfill its social responsibilities as a public institution."
