‘Help Wildfire Victims on the East Coast’ … BPA and Busan Port Industry Jointly Donate 57.8 Million Won

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan Port Authority (BPA) has donated 57.8 million KRW to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association to help victims of wildfires in the Gyeongbuk and Gangwon regions, together with the port industry.
BPA and its executives and employees raised 22.75 million KRW, and Busan Port Security Corporation, Busan Port Facilities Management Center, and Busan New Port Facilities Management Center each donated 5 million KRW.
Ten wharf operators at Busan Port’s North Port and New Port also each contributed 2 million KRW.
The participating operators in the donation include Dongwon Busan Container Terminal, Busan New Port International Terminal, Busan New Port and Busan Container Terminal, Busan Port Terminal, BNCT, HMMP SA New Port, Intergis, Hanjin Busan Container Terminal, and Hutchison Korea Terminal.
Kang Joon-seok, President of BPA, said, “I hope this will help the victims in the specially declared disaster areas to quickly recover their daily lives, even if just a little,” and added, “I also express my gratitude to the Busan port industry for willingly sharing their warmth.”

The disaster relief funds delivered by BPA and others will be used to support victims in the Gyeongbuk and Gangwon regions and to restore damage caused by the wildfires.
