On the 22nd, Hwang wrote on his Facebook, "President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol said he would open the Blue House at midnight on May 10," adding, "I trust President-elect Yoon's words and plan to bring flowers to the Blue House at midnight on May 9 to lay them on the path where President Moon Jae-in will walk out."
He continued, "I hope President-elect Yoon will follow the legal procedures to ensure that the Blue House is opened at midnight on May 10 as promised," and said, "I am not the only one planning to bring flowers. President-elect Yoon should make sure that citizens do not make a wasted trip."
Hwang also wrote, "President-elect Yoon intends to stage a performance to drive out President Moon and his wife on the night of May 9," but added, "That's fine. From midnight on May 10, Moon Jae-in will no longer be president, so there is no need for him to be in the Blue House. He just needs to come out at that time."
He added, "I will lay flowers with gratitude, consolation, and congratulations for his hard work operating the democratic republic of Korea according to law and principles during his five-year term."
He also demanded of President-elect Yoon, "Keep your promise not to obstruct citizens' entry into the Blue House at the moment midnight on May 10 is announced."
Earlier, the Blue House expressed a negative stance regarding President-elect Yoon's plan to relocate the Blue House office to the Ministry of National Defense in Yongsan and open the Blue House until his inauguration on May 10. At the expanded ministerial meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) on the 22nd, the Blue House stated, "The sudden relocation of the Ministry of National Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, as well as the relocation of the Blue House Crisis Management Center, could cause security gaps and confusion."
