Hoban Construction Selected as Preferred Negotiation Partner for 'Incheon Namhang Phase 2 Type 2 Port Hinterland Development Project'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Hoban Construction is undertaking a Type 2 port hinterland development project.
Hoban Construction announced on the 21st that it has been selected as the preferred negotiation partner by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries for the "Incheon Namhang Phase 2 Type 2 Port Hinterland Development Project."
This project involves creating a Type 2 port hinterland and public facilities such as neighborhood parks over a total area of 529,983㎡ in Songdo-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon Metropolitan City. The Type 2 port hinterland supports the Type 1 port hinterland functions, including the international passenger terminal, general office facilities, and retail facilities.
Tourism and shopping spaces will also be developed for foreign visitors and tourists, including those from China. The total project cost is 90 billion KRW, with construction costs around 60 billion KRW. The construction period is expected to be 27 months from the start date.
A Hoban Construction official said, "We are pleased to be selected as the preferred negotiation partner for the Type 2 port hinterland development project," adding, "We will diligently carry out this project to strengthen port business functions and contribute to revitalizing the local economy."

Meanwhile, Hoban Construction continues to secure orders in various fields, including the Gyeongbuk Yeongcheon and Sejong industrial complex development projects and the Anseong low-temperature logistics complex development project.
