President-elect Yoon, who is scheduled to attend the plaque ceremony of the Presidential Transition Committee in Tongui-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, in the morning, will meet with the party leadership for lunch afterward. The meeting will include Lee Jun-seok, the party leader of the People Power Party, Kim Ki-hyun, the floor leader, Yoo Ui-dong, the chairman of the policy committee, and Chung Jin-seok, the deputy speaker of the National Assembly.
Kim Eun-hye, the spokesperson for the president-elect, said at a briefing at the People Power Party central party office in Yeouido, Seoul, “With smooth cooperation with the party leadership, the People Power Party will listen to opinions and discuss overall state administration to create a government for the people,” calling it a so-called party-to-party (president-elect and party) meeting.
This meeting reflects the president-elect’s intention to place the legislature at the center of state administration. Right after being confirmed as president-elect on the 10th, Yoon visited Speaker Park Byeong-seok and emphasized, “I will definitely operate the political situation respecting parliamentary democracy.”

President-elect Yoon has continued public lunches for five consecutive days. On the 14th, he ate oxtail soup with the merchant association at Namdaemun Market in Seoul; on the 15th, after visiting the wildfire damage site in Uljin, Gyeongbuk, he ate jjambbong (spicy seafood noodle soup). On the 16th, he had a kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) lunch with Ahn Cheol-soo, the chairman of the transition committee, and Kwon Young-se, the vice chairman. On the 17th, he had lunch at an Italian restaurant with Kim Han-gil, chairman of the National Integration Committee of the transition team; Kim Byung-joon, chairman of the Regional Balance Special Committee; and Park Joo-sun, chairman of the Presidential Inauguration Preparation Committee.
