Yujin Group Provides 300 Million Won to Support Relief for Donghaean Wildfire Damage
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Eugene Group has donated cash and goods worth approximately 300 million KRW to support the regions and residents affected by the wildfires along the East Coast.
Following the severe damage caused by the East Coast wildfires earlier this month, which led to the designation of special disaster zones in Uljin, Gyeongbuk, and Samcheok, Gangwon Province, Eugene Group held an emergency meeting of its social contribution council, the Hope Sharing Committee, to decide on urgent support. The necessary funds for this donation were jointly provided by Eugene Group’s major affiliates, Eugene Corporation, Eugene Investment & Securities, and Dongyang.
Through the Community Chest of Korea, Eugene Group plans to provide 200 million KRW in donations to Gyeongbuk Province and deliver goods and donations worth 100 million KRW to Samcheok, Gangwon Province, for disaster recovery. The funds and goods will be used to support the livelihoods of wildfire victims and to restore damaged buildings.
