According to foreign media, Shenzhen city authorities stated at a briefing on the same day, "If pandemic prevention and control efforts proceed well, companies will gradually and orderly resume production according to the region and industry type."
However, no specific details or schedules were provided.
Shenzhen city authorities emphasized, "It must be recognized that the number of new cases is still relatively high," and "there should be no laxity in virus control and prevention efforts."
Earlier, on the evening of the 16th, Taiwanese Foxconn, an Apple supplier, announced in a statement that "some operations at the Shenzhen factory have resumed."
When Shenzhen city entered lockdown on the 14th, Foxconn's Shenzhen factory also suspended operations.
