Imsil-gun, the Only 'Tourism Dure Preliminary Excellent Dure' Selected in the Province

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, achieved the remarkable feat of having two sites selected in the Tourism Dure Eutteum Dure contest, the only ones in the province.

On the 16th, the county announced that ‘Imsil Apple Tree’ and ‘Duman Kkot Piori,’ resident enterprises, were finally selected as preliminary Eutteum Dure in the Tourism Dure Eutteum Dure contest promoted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization.

In this evaluation, Tourism Dure PD Jeong Yujin was selected as an excellent PD in the Tourism Dure PD evaluation that supports the fostering of resident enterprises.

Tourism Dure is a government-supported project that enables local residents to form resident enterprises themselves and start and manage tourism businesses with unique characteristics such as lodging, food and beverage, experiences, and souvenirs.

Preliminary Eutteum Dure selected 14 outstanding resident enterprises through evaluations of locality, community, and sustainability among 143 newly selected resident enterprises nationwide last year, including Imsil-gun.

The county achieved the result of having two out of six enterprises selected in the second year of project implementation.

Resident enterprises selected as preliminary Eutteum Dure will receive an additional 5 million won on top of the existing support amount, and excellent PDs will receive an additional 20 million won for activity and discretionary project expenses.

Imsil Apple Tree operates various experience programs such as ecological experiences using apples in apple orchards overlooking the natural scenery of Okjeongho, healthy eating experiences, tent farm parties, total crafts, and environmental preservation.

Duman Kkot Piori offers natural ecological experiences, fruit picking, and craft experiences in the Duman village area of Imsil-eup, as well as the enjoyment of soprano concerts echoing through the forest, and healthy and delicious food with patented lotus leaf rice.

The resident enterprises operated by the county include Imsil Apple Tree, Duman Kkot Piori, Imsil N Daengdaeng Salon, Imsil Sikryobang, Fruit Tree, and Imsil Red Farm, totaling six sites.

These resident enterprises receive business management diagnosis, mentoring, and promotional marketing support from Imsil Tourism Dure PD Jeong Yujin and field-specific practical experts.

A county official said, “We thank the residents who worked hard as two resident enterprises were uniquely selected in the province in just two years,” and added, “We will continue to actively support resident enterprises so that they can demonstrate various capabilities and contribute to local community development such as revitalizing county tourism.”
