View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Hanwha Systems announced on the 16th that it has made an additional investment of approximately 11 million USD (13.3 billion KRW) in Kaimea, a US-based leading company in electronic beam steering antenna (ESA) technology.
Kaimea is a technology venture company that commercializes and sells electronic satellite communication antenna products. In addition to Hanwha Systems, Kaimea has successfully raised a total of 84 million USD in investments from figures including Microsoft (MS) founder Bill Gates.
With this investment, Kaimea aims to accelerate the production of next-generation flat-panel electronic satellite communication antennas and expand its product offerings for customers in the low-earth orbit satellite communication and defense industry markets.
