Meeting with stakeholders from movies, games, webtoons, and theaters
On the 15th, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will hold a roundtable meeting on the topic of immersive content linked to intellectual property rights (IP) at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul. This is the second time Minister Hwang Hee has gathered opinions from policy stakeholders in the content industry, following a meeting in January. Attendees include IP-holding companies in film, games, and webtoons, immersive content developers, amusement park operators, movie theater representatives, and officials from the Korea Creative Content Agency.
The keynote presentations will be delivered by Cho Sung-jin, Head of Strategy Support at CJ CGV, and Lee Seung-jong, Director at Skonec Entertainment. They will introduce "The Reality of Immersive Cinemas" and "Case Studies of Space-Based Immersive Content Experiences," respectively. Following this, the Ministry’s support projects will be introduced and a discussion will be held to explore ways to pioneer the next-generation market of the content industry and expand the new Korean Wave.
