Haitai Confectionery Launches 'Custard Cream' Special Edition for Home Run Ball's 41st Anniversary
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Haitai Confectionery announced on the 15th that it will release a special edition 'Custard Cream' to celebrate the 41st anniversary of the launch of Home Run Ball.
Home Run Ball Custard Cream captures the luxurious taste of custard with the rich vanilla scent along with the unique savory flavor of soft choux pastry. Vanilla flavor, which is usually added only to the cream, was also added to the dough to create a sophisticated taste enjoyed at dessert specialty stores. Custard Cream was selected as the 'most desired Home Run Ball' in the company's own customer survey over the past 10 years.
As a modisumer product created together with customers, the packaging also faithfully reproduces the original design from the first launch. It includes the first appearance of the Home Run Ball character Ro (RO) and uses yellow color to evoke a retro feeling, capturing the memories of that time.
