[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Jeong-wan] Democratic Party lawmaker No Woong-rae criticized the Democratic Party's emergency committee under the leadership of Emergency Committee Chairman Yoon Ho-jung, saying, "Isn't it a collaboration of the factions and factional politics within our party?"
On the morning of the 14th, Representative No appeared on KBS Radio's 'Choi Kyung-young's Strongest Current Affairs' and stated, "They are tied together in a 'good for each other' manner, but if the emergency committee proceeds with the same faces, I worry whether the public can expect that 'the Democratic Party has come to its senses and is trying to do things properly.'"
He expressed concern, saying, "When pushing through real estate policies or creating satellite parties, if the same people who led those efforts are in charge, wouldn't the public think, 'They still haven't come to their senses'?"
He said, "We should not underestimate the People Power Party's determination and efforts to change the regime. There are certainly lessons we can learn from them," adding, "If we can restore healthy democratization within the party and open the door wide to youth politics, it is not impossible for us to make a comeback."
Regarding the 'political reform' pledged as a presidential campaign promise, he said, "The pledge of political change is only a pledge if we win; if we don't win, it cannot be considered a pledge," and criticized, "We said we would implement multi-member constituencies starting from this local election, but if we don't keep that promise, we will be thoroughly ignored by the public in the local elections."
On opinions within the party that former Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung should take the role of emergency committee chairman, he said, "I think it would be better to leave candidate Lee alone for now. If the public wants him to play a role in the local elections and if the party members' will gathers, there will naturally be things he can do," adding, "For now, it is desirable for the party and for him personally to allow a time of reflection."

He added, "Given the current party dynamics, where hegemonic politics and factional politics still coexist, it will realistically be difficult to reach an agreement," and said, "Although the intentions are good, it could only exacerbate internal party strife."
