Zelensky: "Russian Rockets Falling on NATO Is Only a Matter of Time"
"Establish No-Fly Zone Over Ukrainian Airspace"
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reiterated his request on the 13th (local time) to designate Ukrainian airspace as a no-fly zone.
In a video posted on Facebook that day, President Zelensky said, "If Ukrainian airspace is not closed, it is only a matter of time before Russian rockets fall on the territory of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)."
Ukraine has repeatedly declared its airspace a no-fly zone and requested to block the entry of Russian fighter jets, but the United States and NATO have shown reluctance. If designated as a no-fly zone, the West would be obligated to directly prevent Russian military aircraft from flying over Ukrainian military facilities and major cities to bomb them.
