On the same day, Kim Eun-hye, the spokesperson for the President-elect, held a briefing at the People Power Party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, stating, "We cannot currently disclose any special stance regarding North Korea's ICBM launch movements, the dismantling of our facilities within the Mount Kumgang tourism zone, or the reversal of the moratorium (on nuclear tests and ICBM launches)," but expressed the above hope.
After the briefing, when Kim met with reporters and was asked about President-elect Yoon's position on the diplomatic and security issues report by National Security Office Director Suh Hoon the previous day, she replied, "It is a confidential matter."

Kim emphasized, "During the candidacy period, we always actively expressed our stance whenever situations arose, but maintaining that stance until the President-elect period does not seem appropriate when restraint is necessary. However, please understand that our position is that we hope North Korea will engage in dialogue for complete denuclearization."
