20 Honam University Hotel Management Students Obtain SCA International Barista Certification
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Honam University announced on the 13th that all 20 second-year students of the Department of Hotel Management (Department Head Lee Hee-seung) passed the 'Barista Skill Foundation Certification' exam organized by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA).
The SCA Coffee Skills Program (CSP) consists of six different modules: one introductory coffee subject and five expert subjects (Barista Skills, Brewing, Green Coffee, Roasting, Sensory Skills).
Under the supervision of Professor Shin Dong-jin, this program for second-year students was conducted to strengthen their employment capabilities and covered comprehensive content in preparation for the continuously growing coffee market.
