Gwangju Seobu Fire Station Extinguishes Fire Near Forest-Adjacent Village in Yongdu-dong
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Western Fire Station of Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 11th that a forest fire that occurred near Namsan Village in Yongdu-dong, Seo-gu, around 2:48 PM on the 10th was extinguished within 25 minutes.
The fire destroyed approximately 200㎡ of nearby area, but no casualties were reported. The cause of the fire was sparks generated during garbage incineration that spread to adjacent weeds.
Due to the recent continued dry weather, the fire station is conducting patrols in villages adjacent to forests and fire monitoring activities against illegal incineration to prevent forest fires.
