Daegu University Produces 280 Successful Candidates for National and Public School Teacher Appointments... Establishes Systematic Support System
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Daegu University produced 280 successful candidates in this year's national and public teacher certification exam.
Daegu University once again proved itself as one of the top teacher training institutions nationwide by consistently producing national and public teachers, with 293 successful candidates in 2020 and 269 in 2021.
According to the compiled final successful candidate data from education offices across cities and provinces nationwide, there were 227 graduates from the College of Education, 23 from the Teacher Training Program, and 30 from the Graduate School of Education.
By region, successful candidates were evenly distributed across 17 cities and provinces nationwide, including 56 from Daegu City, 65 from Gyeongbuk, 39 from Gyeonggi, and 26 from Gyeongnam.
By subject, there were successful candidates in traditionally strong fields such as Special Education with 164, Professional Counseling with 28, General Social Studies with 11, and Early Childhood Education with 10.
The successful candidates for this teacher certification exam also included 10 students with disabilities.
Kim Hyun-jung, a graduate of the Early Childhood Special Education Department, attracted attention by passing the Daegu City public middle school special education teacher certification exam despite having a severe brain lesion disability.
