A notice stating "Designated as a Special Security Zone" along with congratulatory banners has been posted within the apartment complex.
On the 10th, a key official from the People Power Party stated, "It appears that President-elect Yoon and his wife Kim Geon-hee will not move their residence and will stay at their original home for the time being."
The president-elect receives security protection from the Blue House Security Office from the moment the Central Election Management Committee confirms the election results. The Blue House Security Office provides 24-hour close protection until the inauguration day on May 10. According to the 'Act on the Protection of the President, etc.,' the Blue House Security Office protects the president-elect, their spouse, parents, children, and other direct lineal ascendants and descendants.

Accordingly, it seems highly likely that President-elect Yoon will remain at his current Seocho-dong residence without moving to a safe house or other location until just before the inauguration.
After the Presidential Transition Committee office is established at the Korea Institute of Finance in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, it is expected that President-elect Yoon will commute from his Seocho-dong residence.
Since marrying Mrs. Kim in 2012, President-elect Yoon has lived in a mixed-use apartment complex across from the Seocho-dong courthouse. Mrs. Kim's exhibition planning company, Covana Contents, also has its office in the basement of this apartment. Although suggestions were made to relocate the residence for security reasons, it is said that President-elect Yoon expressed his intention to remain at his home.
Previously, former President Lee Myung-bak moved from his residence in Gahoe-dong, Jongno-gu to a nearby safe house in Samcheong-dong two days after winning the 2007 presidential election. Former Presidents Roh Moo-hyun and Park Geun-hye stayed at their respective residences in Myeongnyun-dong, Jongno-gu, and Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu during their president-elect periods.
