Zelensky: "35,000 Rescued Through Humanitarian Corridors"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyunjung] Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on the 9th (local time) that nearly 35,000 people have been rescued through the humanitarian corridors established.
According to CNN, President Zelensky stated, "We were able to establish humanitarian corridors in Sumy, Kyiv and nearby areas, Enerhodar, etc.," and said that rescue operations will continue until the 10th.
He explained that Ukrainian authorities are preparing a total of six humanitarian corridors to evacuate people from areas under attack by Russian forces.
President Zelensky said, "We pray to evacuate people safely from Mariupol, Izyum, Volnovakha, and others," adding, "Ukrainians in need of help will be assured that they are being cared for."
