On the presidential election day, the 9th, various disturbances occurred around polling stations in Busan, including police dispatch following a 112 report after someone was caught photographing a ballot paper.
According to the Busan Police Agency, at around 6:54 a.m. at the 2nd polling station in Jwa 3-dong, Haeundae-gu, a woman in her 60s was caught by an election official while trying to photograph her ballot paper with a mobile phone and was given a warning.
Earlier, at around 6:20 a.m. at the 2nd polling station in Buam 1-dong, Busanjin-gu, a female voter in her 50s was caught photographing her ballot paper with a mobile phone by an election official.
The election official made her delete the photo on the spot and decided to report her to the police.
At 7:04 a.m. at the 3rd polling station in Myeongji 2-dong, Gangseo-gu, a woman complained that the ink on the voting machine was too light, and the election official replaced it with a new voting machine before proceeding with the voting.
At 6:12 a.m. at the 4th polling station in Hwamyung 1-dong, Buk-gu, a man in his 60s protested, saying, "Isn't there a camera installed in the hole in the ceiling of the polling station?" This led to an argument with the election official. The election commission covered the hole with tape, calming the disturbance.
