Naibec, Peptide-Based 'Advanced Tissue Regeneration Functional Biomaterial' Patent
Visible Achievements Following Selection of Pan-Government Supported Future Medical Environment Leading Projects
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Naivec, a peptide fusion bio-specialized company, has filed two patents for advanced tissue regeneration functional bio-material medical devices using peptides.
On the 8th, Naivec announced that it has filed one patent each for a formulation platform and anti-inflammatory peptide technology during the development process of tissue regeneration inducers used for periodontal tissue and arthritis treatment.
This is the first achievement since Naivec was selected in 2020 for the "4th Revolution and Future Medical Environment Leading Project" supported by the Pan-Government Full-Cycle Medical Device R&D Project Group.
Naivec is continuing related research and development with Seoul National University Dental Hospital and Korea Photonics Technology Institute, receiving about 5 billion KRW in government funding. Currently, a prototype has been completed and preclinical trials are underway.
Supported by the Pan-Government Full-Cycle Medical Device R&D Project Group, Naivec aims to complete preclinical trials within this year. Upon completion of preclinical trials, it plans to submit a clinical trial application to the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

A Naivec official said, "We have secured a significant portion of the foundational technology necessary for material development," adding, "We have also completed reviews on commercialization in cooperation with overseas companies such as Straumann, our sales partner."
