CJ Group Donates 500 Million KRW for Donghaean Wildfire Relief Fund
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] CJ Group announced on the 8th that it has donated 500 million KRW to the National Disaster Relief Association to assist residents in the wildfire-affected areas along the East Coast, including Uljin, Gyeongbuk, and Samcheok, Gangwon.
The donation from CJ Group will be used for emergency livelihood support for disaster victims and for the restoration of damaged buildings and homes. In addition to the donation, CJ's major affiliates have participated in supporting disaster victims through relief supplies. CJ CheilJedang plans to provide approximately 10,000 ready-to-eat meals such as Hetbahn and snacks for wildfire victims and volunteers involved in recovery efforts. CJ OnStyle will deliver about 1,740 bedding sets worth approximately 400 million KRW, while CJ Foodville and CJ Freshway will respectively supply 10,000 Tous Les Jours bread items, beverages and snacks, and daily necessities to the wildfire-affected areas.
