View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced that it has established a carbon-neutral smart factory learning center at the Honam Training Institute in Gwangju Metropolitan City and held an opening ceremony on the 8th.
SBC has been building the Gwangju Smart Factory Learning Center for about 13 months since February last year. The main facilities include an educational manufacturing line applying the latest ICT technology, a VR practice room implementing virtual reality, and a PLC practice room. Trainees can directly experience the composition and operation of a smart factory while producing actual products.
The learning center opened in Gwangju on this day is characterized by implementing the concept of carbon neutrality by utilizing solar energy in the educational manufacturing line. In addition, various smart factory operation practices are possible in a virtual reality space using VR equipment. Starting with the Ansan Small and Medium Business Training Institute in 2017, SBC has completed the establishment of a total of six smart factory learning centers nationwide, including Jeonju, Changwon, Gyeongsan, Cheonan, and this year, the Honam Training Institute in Gwangju.
