European Gas Prices Surge Up to 79%... Record Highs Reached Again
European natural gas prices, which have been soaring daily due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, hit an all-time intraday high again on the 7th, according to foreign media including AFP.
The Dutch TTF natural gas futures price, representing the European market, surged to 345 euros per MWh (megawatt-hour) shortly after the market opened on the day, up 79.2% compared to the previous trading day.

Earlier that day, U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken announced that he is discussing a ban on Russian oil imports with European allies as an additional sanction against Russia, which was analyzed to have increased concerns over energy supply.
