Selected for 10 Consecutive Years! ... Dongseo University Chosen as the Largest K-Move School Among 4-Year Universities Nationwide

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dongseo University has been selected as an operating institution for five courses of the ‘2022 Overseas Employment Training Project K-Move School’ organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.
Dongseo University will operate the largest scale K-Move School among four-year universities nationwide, following last year.
Among the five selected courses, four have been approved as excellent courses. These include four excellent courses: U.S. Fashion Specialist, Graphic Designer, Trade Logistics Frontier, IT Convergence Engineer, and one general course for Japanese IT Engineer, totaling five courses.
The K-Move School project is a training program that supports the successful overseas employment of young people with passion and potential. It is a customized overseas employment program conducted under commission from the government for education and operation processes.
Dongseo University was the first university nationwide to be selected as a K-Move School operating institution and has been operating it for 10 consecutive years to date.
The Dongseo University University Job Center (Student Employment Support Office) plans to recruit students to participate in the K-Move School by holding online and offline briefing sessions starting in March.
Students selected for the K-Move School receive many benefits, including full tuition support, textbook fees, exam fees, and partial visa processing fees. From May to February next year, they will receive job-related, language, essential, and character education and be employed by local companies in the U.S. and Japan.
In 2016, the university received the Prime Minister’s Award in the field of youth overseas advancement; in 2019, it won the Korea Employment Information Service Director’s Award in the overseas employment category at the Youth Dream Best Practice; and in 2021, it received the Presidential Citation in the field of youth overseas advancement.
From 2017 to 2020, Dongseo University earned the highest grade for four consecutive years in the overseas employment operating institution evaluation conducted by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.
Dongseo University has established an overseas employment roadmap and provides systematic education to encourage overseas employment from the lower grades.

Song Kang-young, head of the Student Employment Support Office, said, “Although overseas employment is difficult due to COVID-19, we plan to actively support students who wish to advance overseas by utilizing our university’s know-how and infrastructure as a K-Move School operating institution for 10 consecutive years.”
