Gyeonggi-do Publishes 'Corporate Tax Audit Guide'
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province recently published the "2022 Corporate Tax Audit Work Guide," reflecting recent amendments to laws and regulations.
The province has been publishing the Corporate Tax Audit Work Guide, a practical manual, annually since 2015 to support corporate tax audit work in cities and counties.
This booklet is composed of ▲ Basic Operation of Tax Audits ▲ Common Cases in Tax Audits ▲ Tax Audit Cases by Item.
Notably, this year's revised edition incorporates major legal amendments such as the Local Tax Basic Act and the Local Tax Act. Additionally, it includes the latest precedents from the Supreme Court and the Tax Tribunal, as well as interpretations from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Besides this guide, the province will also publish "Local Tax Guide for Enterprises" targeting companies within the province during the first half of the year.

Choi Won-sam, Director of the Tax Justice Division of the province, stated, "We will share frequently occurring issues and corresponding investigation techniques during corporate tax audits with cities and counties to lead the realization of fair taxation through thorough tax audits."
