Yoon Young-gu Elected as the 14th President of the Construction Engineers Association
The Korea Construction Technicians Association announced on the 6th that candidate Yoon Young-gu was elected as the 14th president through electronic voting.
President-elect Yoon will begin his term on the 26th of this month and will serve as the association president for three years.
The president of the Construction Technicians Association is elected by direct vote. The association explained that out of approximately 606,000 eligible voters, 88,567 participated in the election, and candidate Yoon was elected with 26.69% of the votes.
President-elect Yoon is a civil engineering expert who has served as president of the civil engineering division at Daelim Industrial, vice chairman of Hanyang, and chairman of Bau Consultant. He graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in civil engineering and earned a doctorate in engineering from the same university's graduate school of engineering.
In this election, President-elect Yoon pledged to enhance the professionalism of construction technicians through tailored education, establish a policy committee involving the government and academia, and improve systems to protect the rights and interests of construction technicians.

Alongside the presidential election, the 10th technical field-specific technician president elections were held, resulting in the election of Lee Hee-seok for architecture, Kim Won-sik for civil engineering, Jung Young-seok for mechanical engineering, Kim Hyung-seon for landscaping, Kim Man-jang for safety management, Yoon Kwang-gyu for environment, Jung Chun-byeong for electrical and electronics, and Jung Eui-yong for urban and transportation.
