Gwangju Dongbu Fire Station Implements Fire Safety Measures for the 20th Presidential Election
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] The Gwangju Dongbu Fire Station announced on the 6th that it will implement special alert duty and fire safety measures for election-related facilities in preparation for the 20th presidential election.
This special alert duty will be conducted from the 8th until the completion of vote counting, operating with enhanced fire prevention and a rapid initial response system.
A total of 50 locations, including 13 early voting stations, 36 main polling stations, and 1 counting center within the jurisdiction, will undergo special fire inspections, mobile patrols, fire suppression drills, and checks on the proper maintenance of fire facilities to ensure a safe election with thorough preparedness.
Additionally, on the day of vote counting, fire forces will be deployed to promptly respond to fires and emergency patients on site.
