Daedong Hospital Opens Short-Term and Outpatient COVID-19 Home Treatment Center... Establishing Busan's First Private Medical Total Service
From Examination to Outpatient and Inpatient Care
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Daedong Hospital opened a COVID-19 Home Treatment Short-Term and Outpatient Clinic Center on the 2nd.
Daedong Hospital was designated by Busan City in mid-February as a COVID-19 Home Treatment Short-Term and Outpatient Clinic Center, and for three weeks, it expanded its facilities and staff and introduced testing equipment.
Busan City opened the third COVID-19 Home Treatment Short-Term and Outpatient Clinic Center following the Busan Medical Center and Gapul Noksan Hospital, which were already in operation.
Daedong Hospital, designated as a Public Relief Hospital at the early stage of the COVID-19 outbreak, opened a respiratory specialty clinic designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in early 2020 and has been providing specialized care for local respiratory disease patients to date.
It also operates a separate screening clinic and was designated as an infectious disease specialized hospital by the Ministry of Health and Welfare at the end of last year, establishing a negative pressure ward.
Since last month, it has been participating in monitoring high-risk home treatment patients and providing non-face-to-face medical care as a medical institution managing the intensive home treatment group in Dongnae-gu.
With the operation of the COVID-19 Home Treatment Short-Term and Outpatient Clinic Center, Daedong Hospital has become the first private medical institution in the Busan area to establish a comprehensive medical service system related to COVID-19, from diagnosis to home management, face-to-face outpatient care, and hospitalization.
At the Short-Term and Outpatient Clinic Center, home treatment patients (including those waiting for beds) who are judged by the home treatment managing medical institution to require face-to-face consultation and testing will receive face-to-face care at the center.
To use the center, patients must make a prior reservation by contacting the home treatment management team at the health center of their respective district or county.
